Canada's Jessica Phoenix Leads Individually at Pan Am Games
Jessica Phoenix of Uxbridge, ON, has maintained the lead following the second of three phases comprising the equestrian sport of Eventing held Saturday, October 22, at the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Proving its popularity, over 33,000 spectators attended the cross-country phase of evening competition, held at the Santa Sofia Golf Club.

The Canadian Eventing Team finished its Olympic bid
in ninth place on Tuesday night at the Sha Tin venue in Hong Kong,
China. Sandra Donnelly of Calgary, AB, was the top-placed Canadian,
finishing in 31st place individually.
