Three-time Olympic medalist Eric Lamaze of Canada partnered with Dy’on to host a contest on PandaHAUS Equestrian, an innovative app for equestrian sports.

September 22, 2016 – Wellington, Florida – Kieley McQuaker of Schomberg, ON, was the winner of an exclusive contest hosted by Canada’s Eric Lamaze on pandaHAUS Equestrian, an innovative app for equestrian sports.

To celebrate his 2016 Rio Olympic individual bronze medal with Fine Lady 5, PandaHAUS ambassador Lamaze partnered with his sponsor, Dy’on, to offer a replica of Fine Lady 5’s bridle in a contest exclusive to pandaHAUS. All pandaHAUS users who met the contest criteria were entered into a random draw and, when the contest closed on September 15, McQuaker was selected as the lucky winner.

In addition to winning the Dy’on signature bridle, Lamaze also signed the bridle bag, making the prize even more special.

“I’m really happy!” said McQuaker, 13. “I entered the contest because of the chance to win a replica of Fine Lady’s bridle and a bridle bag signed by Eric.”

A competitor herself, McQuaker hopes to use the new bridle on her top mount, Californica.

“For us, it was important to be a part of this contest to celebrate Eric’s medal as a long-time partner, and to take the opportunity to thank him for his trust in our brand,” said Estelle Garbagnati of Dy’on, the Belgian-based leatherworks and apparel company that generously donated the replica of Fine Lady 5’s bridle. “We are really proud to offer this bridle, which became the ‘Dy’on signature bridle’, because Eric and his team use this model on all of their horses; they made this model famous and have played a big part in its success!

“What made supporting this contest on pandaHAUS even more interesting is that it is the only social media app dedicated to the equestrian community, and Eric is really involved in it,” continued Garbagnati.

Lamaze was especially pleased to learn that the contest winner was from Schomberg, ON, where he originally built his training business, Torrey Pines Stable. Now based in Wellington, FL, Lamaze divides his time between competing in North America and Europe.

“I want to thank Dy’on for partnering with me for this exciting contest; it was a great way to celebrate the bronze medal from Rio and to thank the fans for all of their support,” said Lamaze, who also won individual gold and team silver medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics riding Hickstead. “Congratulations to Kieley on winning the bridle! It’s especially cool that she lives in my former hometown of Schomberg. I hope she enjoys her prize, and pandaHAUS users can look forward to more to come in the future.”

Since its launch in March of 2016, pandaHAUS Equestrian has swept the horse world, allowing users to connect with their favourite equestrian athletes from around the globe. Available in the app store, the powerful photo and content sharing community allows users to build their profile, earn pandaPOINTS, and go behind the scenes with the biggest names in equestrian sports. Olympic Show Jumping medalists Jeroen Dubbeldam, Steve Guerdat, Laura Kraut, Ben Maher, and Rodrigo Pessoa are all active pandaHAUS users, as are polo superstars Brandon Phillips and Nic Roldan.
