June 9, 2014 – Vrasene, Belgium – Artisan Farms LLC has acquired Tripple X III from 2008 Canadian Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze.

Lamaze's Torrey Pines Stable purchased Tripple X III from Ben Maher in April. With Maher, the 12-year-old Anglo European stallion (Namelus R x Cantango) was part of the gold medal team for Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Under Lamaze's ownership, Tripple X III competed with Canadian Olympian Tiffany Foster at CSI3* Le Touquet, France, and CSIO5* Rome, Italy. At the CSI5* Spruce Meadows 'National' tournament held June 4 to 8 in Calgary, Canada, Foster and Tripple X III finished second to Lamaze and Artisan Farms LLC's Powerplay in the $85,000 1.55m Spectra Energy Cup on June 5.

"When I purchased the horse, it was with the intention to resell," explained Lamaze of Schomberg, Ontario. "After seeing the horse compete, Andy and Carlene decided they would like to purchase Tripple X and keep him as part of the Artisan Farms family."

Foster, 29, will continue to compete Tripple X III throughout the 2014 season.

The Artisan Farms team, which also includes Andy Ziegler and young professional Caitlin Ziegler, will compete in Calgary throughout the Spruce Meadows Summer Series before returning to Europe in mid-July. Based in Vrasene, Belgium, and Wellington, Florida, Artisan Farms is committed to the continued improvement and promotion of competitive show jumping.
