November 1, 2012 – Vrasene, Belgium Artisan Farms has acquired La Toya 44, a 10-year-old bay Hannoverian mare (Le Cou Cou x Argentinus), for its rider Tiffany Foster, 28, of Schomberg, Ontario, Canada.

Formerly owned by 2000 Olympic Champion Jeroen Dubbeldam and competed by Sjaak Sleiderink, both of the Netherlands, La Toya 44 joins Foster’s competitive string which presently includes her 2012 Olympic mount Victor, Luikka, Southwind VDL, and Whitney, all owned by Artisan Farms LLC.  On occasion, Foster competes with Andy Ziegler’s mounts, Cyber van Vryhern and Hyo Altanero, also owned by Artisan Farms LLC.

One of North America’s top up and coming professional riders and a protégé of 2008 Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze, Foster made her Canadian Show Jumping Team debut in the $350,000 BMO Nations’ Cup held at the 2011 Spruce Meadows “Masters” tournament riding Southwind VDL.  She has now represented Canada in nine Nations’ Cup competitions to date including Buenos Aires, Argentina; Wellington, Florida; Lummen, Belgium; and most recently, Barcelona, Spain.

Based in Vrasene, Belgium, and Wellington, Florida, Artisan Farms supports Olympians Tiffany Foster and Eric Lamaze.  Andy Ziegler, who owns Artisan Farms with his wife, Carlene, also competes, as does their daughter, Caitlin, 17.

Team Artisan Farms will compete throughout the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival running January 9 through March 31 in Wellington, Florida, before returning to its Belgian base for the spring season.
