June 5, 2012 – East Dorset, VT – Manchester Designer Outlets and the retail brands it represents will once again sponsor the weekly $10,000 Open Welcome Stake Series during the six-week Vermont Summer Festival show jumping competition taking place July 4 through August 12, 2012, in East Dorset, VT.
The $10,000 Open Welcome Stake, presented by Manchester Designer Outlets, will be held each Thursday during the competition. The winner will take home their share of the prize money as well as a prize from the sponsoring brand. The sponsorship agreement with Manchester Designer Outlets, now in its seventh year, marks the largest and broadest local sponsorship in the history of the Vermont Summer Festival.

For junior and amateur show jumping competitors, a $10,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic will be the highlight each week, while week six will feature a $15,000 Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic.
The hugely popular $5,000 3'3" Hunter Derby will return for 2012, and will be held each Thursday for the first five weeks, culminating with a $15,000 Hunter Derby for week six.
