February 17, 2012 – Wellington, FL After qualifying all three of her mounts for the jump-off, Reed Kessler significantly improved her chances for victory in the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round VI held Friday, February 17, at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Of the eight horses that advanced to the jump-off over Richard Jeffrey’s course on the grass field at The Stadium, three belonged to 17-year-old Kessler of Armonk, New York.  As the lead-off rider, Kessler posted a clear round in a time of 40.49 seconds that no one else could catch – not even Kessler herself on either of her other two mounts.  Kessler claimed her first WEF Challenge Cup victory with Cylana, as well as a $3,000 cash bonus from SSG Riding Gloves for wearing ‘Digital’ gloves.

“It’s so great!” said Kessler of the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.  “It is incredibly generous of SSG to sponsor, and I never dreamed that I would be the winner.  I’m holding on to these lucky gloves!”

Kessler now joins her mother as a winner in the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.  Teri Kessler claimed a $1,000 bonus after winning the Low Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic during week seven of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.

The SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion offers a bonus of $3,000 each week to the winner of the WEF Challenge Series.  In the weekly Junior Jumper High Classic and Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic, a bonus of $1,000 is offered.  Any bonus money not awarded is carried forward to the next week.  For week six, a $1,000 bonus is up for grabs in the Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic while the bonus has tripled to $3,000 for the Junior Jumper High Classic.

SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at Running Fox, Beval Saddlery, Hadfield’s Saddlery, Ann K Hubbard’s Tack Shop and Jods.
