Cerano Parcours de Chasse while wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves. Held Saturday, August 27, the Parcours de Chasse was the final event in the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion taking place during the 2011 show season at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC.
As the $1,000 bonus had gone unclaimed in the past two events, the bonus money had tripled to $3,000 for the final event of the season. Spooner, who had missed out on a $2,000 bonus one week earlier after winning the $55,000 CSI2* Fortress Paper Grand Prix, made sure to buy a pair of SSG ‘Digitals’ before the $10,000 Luisa Cerano Parcours de Chasse. His foresight paid off with a $3,000 bonus after taking the win with Wandor van de Mispelaere.
“I bought the gloves two hours ago because of the promotion, and it’s a good thing I did,” smiled the veteran United States Equestrian Team member from California. “They did the trick, and I quite like them. They fit really well and are extremely comfortable.”
Tammy Chipko also benefited from a cash bonus of $1,000 after winning the $5,000 Dexter Jump Canada Hunter Classic on Wednesday, August 24, while wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves. Only two riders entered the ring without SSG ‘Digitals’ on their hands but, luckily, Chipko was not one of them. She guided Viktor 79 to victory to claim her $1,000 bonus.
“I purchased the gloves specifically for this class, and they were great to wear,” said Chipko, who also hails from California. “The gloves were comfortable and light weight. It doesn’t feel like I am wearing gloves at all. I wouldn’t have bought them without the promotion, so it was especially great to find a pair of gloves that I like so much.”
Throughout the 2011 show season at Thunderbird Show Park, SSG Riding Gloves awarded a total of $9,000 in bonus money through its ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.
